Reno, Nev. - Our dry winter means we're in store for a busy fire season, and firefighters say now is the time to prepare.
Firefighters are urging families to have a plan in place in case a wildfire comes near your front door.
On Tuesday May 1st, firefighters are holding an All-Risk Emergency Preparedness Evacuation Workshop that's open to the public.
They'll talk about how evacuation routes are determined, how to sign up for emergency notifications, how to evacuate your animals, and what you can do if you're not able to leave your home during an emergency.
The workshop is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Galena High.
