Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man wanted for questioning in connection with a domestic dispute and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

GARDNERVILLE, NV - Douglas County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man wanted for questioning in connection with a domestic dispute.

Tuesday, July 22, 2014, about 6PM, deputies responded to the 600 block of Derby Court in the Gardnerville Ruhenstroth area after a report of a domestic dispute. The wife of Anthony Robert Diaz told them he had argued with his wife, then run off. Deputies were told he may be armed with a semi-automatic handgun and have his 12-year-old son with him.

Deputies say after a search including Washoe County's RAVEN helicopter, Diaz was arrested around 11PM Tuesday. His son was with him and is safely back home with his mother, according to deputies.

Diaz has been charged with child endangerment and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm. Bail is $50,000.
