Minden, NV - A man was taken by Care Flight to Renown Regional Medical Center after an accident at State Route 88 and US 395 in Douglas County. The car was also on fire for a period of time but was extinguished quickly.
The Nevada Highway Patrol tells KOLO 8 News Now that a man driving a white Subaru was traveling northbound on 88 when he crossed over into the southbound lanes before coming to rest on southbound 395.
The man was wearing a seatbelt and NHP Sergeant James Simpson believes that is the reason the driver escaped with only minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation but the man may have suffered a medical episode before the crash.
