RENO, NV - Detectives from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office are looking for information from the public to assist with the ongoing investigation of a woman who was found walking on north U.S. 395 the night before Thanksgiving.

According to detectives, a white woman was attempting to flag down vehicles in the northbound lanes of the freeway between the Red Rock Road and White Lake Parkway exits about 8:30PM Wednesday, November 27, 2013. It may have appeared to drivers that she was attempting to jump in front of oncoming vehicles.

The identity of the woman is not being released at this time, because of the ongoing investigation. Detectives have spoken with her, but have several questions about the circumstances of why she was there. She is not in custody or in a hospital.

Detectives ask that anyone who may have seen this woman on U.S. 395 Thanksgiving Eve, or who may have information related to this investigation, contact the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at (775) 328-3320 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
