RENO, NV - Washoe County Sheriff's deputies are looking into the theft of more than a hundred dollars in donations stolen from the Nevada Humane Society over the weekend.
The burglar broke through a double-paned window on the clinic side of the building.
Deputies don't know whether the burglar tried to take medications, but two donation jars containing more than 100 dollars were taken. Those funds are used to fund the spaying and neutering of animals for families who can't afford it. No animals were harmed.
It's estimated it will cost at least a thousand dollars to replace the window.
So far, nothing else appears to be missing. Deputies are reviewing surveillance video to get a better idea of who may have been involved.
