Deputies Identify Suspect in Manhunt Near Davis Creek

UPDATE: 2 a.m. Monday

Washoe County Deputies have identified the suspect as 53 year old Michael Paszek. They are still searching for him, but say evacuations are no longer in place for residents in the Davis Creek area.
Residents have been allowed to go back into their homes.


According the Washoe County Sheriff's Office a manhunt began tonight after a female victim showed up with injuries at a fire station in Washoe Valley around 7:15 PM.

The woman was taken to Carson Tahoe for treatment.

A search began for a male involved in the domestic dispute.

He is decribed only as a white adult male.

During the search, witnesses reported hearing at least two gunshots in the area.

The suspect is believed to be somewhere in the vicinity of Davis Creek Campground.

After nightfall Sheriff's Deputies began evacuating campers for their own safety.

WCSO continues to search for the armed man on the ground and from the air by helicopter.
