CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - The deadline is looming for Nevada judicial candidates to file for office.
The filing period for judges and judicial candidates began Jan. 3. It ends at 5 p.m. Friday.
If they do not draw any opposition, they cannot solicit campaign contributions.
Supreme Court Chief Justice Nancy Saitta, and Justices Michael Cherry and Michael Douglas filed their paperwork for re-election on the opening day.
As of late Thursday, no one had filed against them.
Candidate filing for other elected positions runs March 5 through March 16.
