DAYTON, NV - The American Red Cross is stepping in to help a Dayton family, after their home burned down late Monday night.
The Central Lyon County Fire Protection District says around 11:30 p.m. a home caught fire at 354 Sutro Springs Road in the Mark Twain area of Dayton.
When fire crews got there, the family was standing outside, while their home was fully engulfed in flames. Two adults and four children were living in the home. One of the adults was treated for minor burns at the scene.
Crews say the entire home was damaged or destroyed. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A donation fund has been set up for anyone who wants to help the family, which lost just about everything. You can go into any Wells Fargo branch and ask to donate to the Cram Family Donation Fund.
