RENO, NV - The DEA made the first arrest in the state for the illegal sale of the designer drug bath salts Thursday afternoon in Reno.

The "High Intensity Drug Trafficking Task Force" arrested Asowadur Kahn.

Bath salts are hallucinogens, similar to mushrooms or LSD, sometimes sold under names such as Vanilla Sky and Plant Food, banned here in Nevada just last month.

Khan is being charged with distribution of a controlled substance.

The DEA plans to show some of these salts don't contain certain illegal chemicals, but they're made with the intent to have the same effect.
