RENO, Nev. -- A cyclist is recovering from a hit-and-run crash on the Mt. Rose Highway.

It happened Saturday morning on SR 431 near Golfers Pass Road. People who saw the crash say an SUV that was either silver or blue was headed westbound when it veered right, crossed the white lane line and hit the cyclist. The SUV, which had California plates, just kept going.

The cyclists is identified as Kelly McCloskey from Jackson, Wyoming. She was taken to Incline Village Community Hospital to get treated for non-life-threatening injuries. She was later released.

People who saw the accident say the SUV's left brake light wasn't working and it had a red sticker on the rear window.
