RENO, NV - Crews from the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District worked with other fire agencies to put out two small brush fires burning along 395 north of Reno Thursday afternoon.

Chief Charles Moore says together, the fires totaled less than 5 acres. They burned close to each other about two miles south of the agriculture station on the state line.

No structures were threatened and there's no word what caused the fires, which were first reported about 3:15. They were officially in BLM jurisdiction.
