Commercial Burglaries Continue, More Than 40 Reported

RENO, NV - The Reno Police Department continues to see a rash of commercial burglaries throughout the city. The number has now exceeded 40, and again Reno police are asking for assistance.

According to RPD, the burglaries began in mid-March, and they have been occurring late into the night and early morning hours.

The burglars appear to target smaller businesses, and they have occurred on each day of the week. There appear to be two burglars involved, and during each incident, they have concealed their identities. Cash appears to be to the primary target during each incident.

RPD would like to remind small business owners to properly secure your business after closing, and ensure your alarms and cameras are functioning properly. Each business owner is encouraged to take every precaution in placing cash into a locked safe, or in area not immediately recognized.

The men are described only as men of average height and weight, one possibly white and one black.
