RENO, NV - An evacuation was lifted at Clayton Middle School Wednesday about an hour after it started, with students and teachers allowed back inside to finish their school day. Parents were then able to pick students up at the normal 2pm time.
The school was evacuated around noon because of a report of a possible gas leak, but firefighters and NV Energy found no evidence of a leak and the school was declared safe.
Thursday's school day will commence as normal, but Wednesday afterschool programs and athletic practices have been cancelled to let school officials catch up after the precautionary timeout.
