RENO -- You can once again recycle your Christmas tree thanks to Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful. The non-profit is again accepting trees from residents at several locations -- Rancho San Raphael, Bartley Ranch and the Shadow Mountain Sports Complex.

The tree are turned into mulch, which is later given away for free.

Trees must be free of decorations, and can not be flocked, or covered with fake snow.

Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful is asking for a $3 donation to fund the program.

This is the 23rd year for the program, which began the day after Christmas and continues through January 12. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
