SPARKS, NV - Sparks police have arrested a man they say led them on a chase.
Tuesday, July 22, 2014, just before 6PM, officers responded to a call of an unwanted person outside a home on East Devere Way. They say as they approached the home, the man got into a vehicle and sped off, leading police on a short chase that was stopped because of heavy traffic.
Police identified the man as 35-year-old Michael James Dragos of Reno, who had a $50,000 cash-only warrant in his name from Reno Justice Court.
About two hours after the chase was ended, police were told Dragos might be in the area of Winco on Northtowne Lane in Reno. Police from Sparks and Reno responded and found Dragos, who ran off and was arrested after a short foot chase.
Dragos was booked into the Washoe County Jail on a charge of felony eluding on the Sparks case, as well as the Reno warrant. His bail is in excess of $72,500.
