RENO, Nev. -- The inaugural Celebrity Duck Auction was Wednesday, July 10 at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino in the Aura Ultra Lounge. This exciting event kicked off rubber duck adoptions for Nevada Humane Society’s fourth annual Duck Race & Festival. Entrants won rubber ducks autographed by:

· Actor Steve Martin
· Actor Pauly Shore
· Actor Corey Feldman
· Country singer Kip Moore
· Lead singer for The Postal Service Ben Gibbard
· Other national and local celebrities

The autographed celebrity rubber ducks are part of a silent auction to benefit homeless pets. People could also adopt a rubber duck or two to be entered in the Nevada Humane Society’s Duck Race & Festival on August 25 at Wingfield Park. The fastest rubber ducks will win big prizes, from exciting vacations and a chance to win $400,000.
