The fire broke out early Friday afternoon at 2154 Columbia Way.
The cause is under investigation, but firefighters say it may have started as a grease fire in the kitchen.
No one was injured inside the home and tow cars did have to be rescued.
A witness did experience some medical problems.
An ambulance was called in for her.
“You could probably say it might have been caused by fire, just by being upset. We understand it to be a medical problem unaccounted for,” says Carson City Battalion Chief Bruce Charles.
Firefighters estimate the home ot be up to 80% damaged—a total loss.
