Man Arrested after Suspicious Packages Left at Carson DMV

CARSON CITY, NV - A man has been arrested, after two suspicious packages were left at the Carson City DMV Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators say a man with two packages created a commotion at the DMV, then left, leaving the bags behind.

The Tahoe-Douglas Bomb Squad investigated the bags, including using a robot, to determine what was inside. One bag contained plastic bags and another bag contained paperwork.

66-year-old Charles Leigh Self of Silver City was arrested as a person of interest in this case. He's charged with several unrelated misdemeanors. He had an outstanding warrant out of Reno for failure to maintain proof of insurance and multiple traffic violations
