Canine Rehab Center Hosts Dogtoberfest at Legends

RENO, NV - Northern Nevada-based Canine Rehabilitation Center and Sanctuary (CRCS) is raising funds to buy land in northern Nevada to build a sanctuary for dogs in desperate and critical situations.

Dogtoberfest at Legends will be held at Legends Outlet Mall in Sparks on October 13, 2012 from 12 noon until 4 pm. Festivities will have something for everyone. Radio stations Alice and Sunny 106.9 will broadcast live from the event. “Puppies for Sale” bestselling author Rosalie Pope will sign books. Local dog trainers will be there to chat.
The American Red Cross Dog and Cat First Aid & CPR will also be there. Kids can enjoy face painting while adults sip wine, enjoy the barbecue, and stock up on baked goodies for their four legged friends.”

“We’ve had incredible success stories with the dogs and the land will enable us to help more animals. When the facility is built, it will be able to accommodate both dogs and cats for various needs that include recovery, training, socialization, long term housing, boarding and hospice care,” according to Kristen Ivey, Executive Director and Founder of Canine Rehabilitation Center & Sanctuary, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit corporation.

Admission is free for humans and dogs sporting leashes with donations accepted. A $10 donation for the barbecue is requested. Some foster care dogs will be there and available for adoption, following a process. For more information call CRCS at 775.313.8621 or visit www.CRCSgiveslife.org.
