Brush Fire Knocked Down Near Moon Rocks

RENO, NV - Firefighters have quickly extinguished a brush fire that burned about two acres north of Reno.

Flames were reported about 3:30pm Monday at the recreation area called Moon Rocks west of the Pyramid Highway. No structures or campsites were reported threatened, and there are no reported injuries.

There's no word yet what started the fire.

A handful of firefighters will stay on scene temporarily to tamp out any remaining hot spots.
