RENO, Nev. (AP) - The former head of the Boys & Girls Club of the Truckee Meadows has been named the first female president of Reno's Bishop Manogue High School.
Maureen "Mo" Kachurak will assume her new job Monday at the 65-year-old private Catholic school.
Nick Rossi, head of the selection committee, told the Reno Gazette-Journal she was picked over eight other candidates due in part to depth of experience in the community.
She was the CEO of the Boys & Girls Club from 1994 to 2005. Most recently she was the president and chairwoman of a private foundation that provides grants that benefit children and seniors.
