CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Employers could not base hiring decisions on an employee's credit report under a bill approved by the Nevada Senate.
SB127 now moves to the Assembly.
It prohibits an employer from conditioning employment on a consumer credit report or other credit information.
There are exceptions in instances where a person's credit history is related to job duties.
