TRUCKEE, Calif. (AP) - A California man who died after his bicycle collided with a vehicle in downtown Truckee has been identified.
Authorities say 45-year-old Robert Koechlin Jr. of Los Gatos, Calif., was pronounced dead at Tahoe Forest Hospital in Truckee.
The Sacramento Bee reports (http://bit.ly/TbiBDp ) the collision occurred Saturday afternoon at a roundabout at the west end of the downtown.
The roundabout and main eastbound lane through the downtown were closed for several hours while officers investigated the accident.
Police are seeking witnesses to the accident.
