INCLINE VILLAGE, NV - A two-year-old, 160-pound male black bear is back in the wild after being trapped Thursday in Incline Village.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife set the trap set in Incline Village Wednesday.
The male bear had never before been handled by NDOW. It was tranquilized and processed by NDOW and then released back into the wild on Friday, somewhere on the Nevada side of the Lake Tahoe Basin.
Processing includes affixing an ear tag, capturing various DNA samples and tattooing an area in the bear's mouth.
