RENO, Nev. - You can be a Santa to a Senior this holiday season by helping Home Instead Senior Care with their holiday drive.
“Seniors faced with medical bills and the high cost of living can find they have little left at the end of the year,” said Allan Ward, owner of the Home Instead Senior Care office serving Reno, Sparks and Washoe County. “That's not the only issue, though. Personal needs may become magnified for so many living along with no one to share their problems.”
The local Home Instead Senior Care office will collect and distribute gifts to seniors who might otherwise spend the holiday alone. The “Be a Santa to a Senior” program starts November 4 and runs through December 13.
Christmas trees will go up in Reno-area Walmart Vision Centers and will feature ornaments with first names of the seniors and the gift requests.
