Sparks Woman Accused of Stabbing Husband and DUI

SPARKS, NV - A heated domestic dispute Tuesday night leads to a battery arrest and DUI after a wife stabbed her husband inside their van at Baldini's Casino.

It happened around 9 pm when according to Sparks police, 51-year-old Katherine Dever and her husband had been living in their van in the Baldini's parking lot when she stabbed him during an argument inside the van. The victim also stated that Dever had thrown a can of food at him which struck him in the face causing a small cut.

Once on scene officers met with the victim who was being treated by Sparks Firefighters and REMSA for multiple stab wounds.

Officers found Dever driving through the Baldini's parking lot a short time later. Officers determined that she was under the influence of alcohol when she was stopped and was arrested.

Dever was booked in the to the Washoe County Jail.

The victim was taken to Renown, where he was treated for non-life threatening stab wounds to his toe, elbow and leg.
