CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - A state judge in Carson City has scheduled a Feb. 26 auction to sell off part of $7.4 million in gold coins found in the home a recluse who died last summer.

The money raised will be used to pay $800,000 in inheritances taxes due in March.

The Las Vegas Sun reports the rest of the estate will go to Arlene Magdanz, of San Rafael, Calif.

A substitute teacher, Magdanz is the first cousin of Walter Samaszko Jr., who died in May at his home in Carson City at age 69. His body was discovered a month later after neighbors reported an odor coming from his home.

During a cleanup of his house, nearly 2,700 gold coins were discovered in boxes in the garage, among cartons of tuna.
