Reno police are looking for a man that almost got away with armed robbery, but a customer shopping for 99 cents or more, scared him off.

A man entered the 99 Cent Plus Store, just before noon on Sunday, and spent thirty minutes inside selecting various items. He eventually took the items to the clerk, and as she began ringing him up, the would-be robber flashed a gun and demanded money.

But before the robber could get his hands on any cash, another customer walked into the store and interrupted. He fled west bound on West Second Street from the store and police need your help in finding him.

The Suspect is described as a white male, in his 40’s, 5’8”, brown hair and 120 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hat, a black trench coat, black sunglasses, tan pants and black shoes.

Anyone with information in regards to this case is urged to contact or Secret Witness at 32
