Attempted Armed Robbery Near Mira Loma Park

Reno,NV- Reno police responded to a call on the 4500 Block of Mira Loma Drive around 11:49pm Friday, on a report of an attempted armed robbery.

According to RPD a man was walking on Mira Loma Drive when he was approached by the suspect. The victim then told police that the suspect demanded his wallet and when he refused a fight ensued. The attacker then stabbed the man in the hand and upper leg. The victim punched the suspect in the face possibly causing injury to the left side of the suspects face and nose. The attacker fled Northbound into Mira Loma Park.

The victim had received minor wounds that were treated at the scene.

The suspected is described as an African American Male 6' tall, 200lbs, in his mid- 20's with "scuffy" unshaven facial hair. He may also have injuries to his face and nose. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, and white tennis shoes.
