Police have arrested two men suspected of holding up as many as 6 businesses since December.

Detectives have arrested 23-year-old Randy Macario Ancheta and 19-year-old Cameron Muhlenberg for a series of armed robberies in the Reno-Sparks and Carson City area.

Here is a time-line of the robberies:

-December 26 Subway, 1131 Steamboat Parkway

-December 27 Runway Gas and Liquor, 2550 Longley Lane

-December 29 Town Liquor, 10855 Double R Blvd.

-December 31 Galena Market, at 19990 Thomas Creek Road

-January 2 Dad’s Quick-Mart, 5212 Sparks Blvd., Sparks

After the Galena Market robbery, it was soon believed that there may be two suspects possibly working together.

The last robbery occurred in Carson City at the Arco station AMPM at 2707 Highway 50 East, on Tuesday. Once again, the suspect description and actions were similar to the five robberies according to investigators.

Two potential suspects were identified thanks to a collaborative operation involving surveillance teams and detectives from the Reno and Sparks Police Departments and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office.

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office has also joined in the investigation and will be looking into filing charges in their jurisdiction as well.
