Yogurt Shop Robbery Suspect Arrested

RENO, NV -- Reno police have arrested a suspect in an armed robbery.

Sunday, August 24, 2014, around 3PM, police say 20-year-old Travis Mattoon entered the Honey Treat Yogurt at 5000 Smithridge Drive and presented a note claiming to have a weapon, even though it wasn't visible. After being given an undisclosed amount of money by the store's clerk, Mattoon fled the area.

Police say they spotted Mattoon in the area of Neil Road and Catalina and continued to run from officers. Police say they located Mattoon hiding in a garage at a nearby residence.

Police then arrested Mattoon for robbery, resisting arrest and probation violation.
