Alleged Virginia Lake Attacker Arrested for Lewd Acts

After more than five months of investigating, Reno Police have arrested a man accused of repeatedly attacking females jogging and walking near Virginia Lake.

24-year-old Bulmaro Ricardo Torres-Alvarado was arrested Saturday after one of his previous victims noticed him in the area and called Reno Police. Officers were able to locate the suspect and take him into custody.

After interviewing the man, they were able to link him to all the previous cases. Police believe there may be other incidents and victims that they are unaware of, which is why the investigation is ongoing.

During the investigation, police have talked to several women, who have all claimed to being either kissed, grabbed and/or fondled by the suspect.

Torres-Alvarado is being charged with three counts of Open and Gross Lewdness.

The Reno Police Department is asking for anyone's help in gaining information about possible incidents/victims and/or information about the suspect should contact the RPD at 334-2115, Secret Witness at 322-4900, or text the tip to 847411 keyword- SW
