RENO, Nev. (AP) - The Reno Aces baseball team has announced a fund-raiser to benefit the family of a Reno native who was killed during the mass shooting at a theater in Aurora, Colo.
Officials for the Diamondbacks' AAA affiliate say they'll donate $5 of every ticket sold on Friday for the remainder of the current home stand to the Jonathan Blunk Memorial Fund.
Blunk was a graduate of Hug High and five-year Navy veteran. The fund will cover funeral costs, debts and help set up a trust for his children.
The donations apply to tickets purchased on Friday in person or online for that night's game against Pacific Coast League foe Colorado Springs, as well as games Saturday through Tuesday against Sacramento.
Fans buying tickets on line should enter the code "colorado."
