Motorcyclist Killed on Plumb Lane Identified

RENO, Nev. -- A motorcyclist died in a crash Sunday morning on Plumb Lane, with traffic backing up on the nearby interstate.

The crash happened about 9:15AM. A Reno Police Department official says a Dodge truck was headed east on Plumb Sunday morning.

The motorcyclist, 55-year-old Lane Grow of Crescent Valley, was going south on Matley, which is commonly referred to as the extended part of the southbound Villanova/Plumb offramp from 580/395. They crashed in the intersection.

Grow was taken to the hospital but did not survive. No one else was hospitalized.

The accident and subsequent investigation shut down part of the intersection, causing traffic on 580/395 to back up all the way to Mill Street.

The investigation is still ongoing. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor at this time.
