HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) - The Nevada attorney general is investigating whether the Henderson City Council violated open meeting law by hearing reports at a recent meeting on matters that weren't on an agenda.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Tuesday that the Nevada Policy Research Institute filed a complaint after the council's March 2 meeting.
City spokesman Bud Cranor said Henderson is reviewing the complaint, with a March 30 deadline to respond.
Institute official Steven Miller complained two city staff reports came without notice during time set for public comment.
Miller also accused Mayor Andy Hafen of selectively enforcing a three-minute public comment time limit.
An open meeting complaint was resolved last summer when the council took corrective action by disclosing previously secret ballot votes to fill a council vacancy.

She is more worried about this than defending the rights of Nevadans to not have to purchase health insurance to avoid fines that make the process tantamount to extortion? Sounds like she just wants to try and divert attention from her politically motivated inaction to me.
