Dummies are taking to the slopes at Mount Rose.

"It did well coming down the hill, it flew off the jump it caught some big air and had some really good carnage when it hit it exploded on impact," Randy Tagnoni of Reno said of one dummy.

Tagnoni's beer keg made to look like R-Two-D-Two took first place at the Dummy Downhill competition at Mount Rose Ski Resort Saturday.

Randy Tagnoni was collecting what's left of his creation.

The dummies were made out of anything and everything.

Jane Bartlett of Reno said, "It had a spring from the garage door and on top of it it had a head so the thing was wavering back and forth."

There's a lot of creativity at this event, like a "Toyota" dummy.

For some, the measure of success is just making it down the hill without a push.
