Washoe County Student Collapses at School, Dies
The Washoe County School District has confirmed that an eighth grade student at Shaw Middle School in Spanish Springs died while at school Tuesday morning.

SPARKS, NV - The Washoe County School District has confirmed that an eighth grade student at Shaw Middle School in Spanish Springs died while at school Tuesday morning.
The girl collapsed on campus before classes began. She received CPR until emergency personnel arrived, then she was then flown to Renown Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Shaw principal David Fullenwider called the young girl's passing "a shocking and tragic loss for her family and for all of us here at Shaw Middle School."
School Superintendent Heath Morrison and Board President Barbara Clark issued the following message: "We express our deepest sympathy and concern to her family and friends on this heart-breaking occasion. They and she will be in the thoughts of all of us in the Washoe County School District."
An investigation into the cause of death is continuing.

It's been 2 years. We were so close.. We've been the greatest friends since Katherine Dunn. I moved and then I saw her again at Shaw. We had a few classes together and it was amazing. I knew Christina very much and i was there when everything happened. i wish i could have done something to save her. Shes in a better place now and will be missed dearly. Love You Christina. <3
