RENO, NV - Desperate to find work during this recession, a local man has resorted to taking on one of the most disgusting, most hated jobs in existence.

If you're a pet owner, and you dread being on poop patrol, you'll feel for this guy. Sure it's cliche, but it's a dirty job--that someone's gotta do.

"I saw his ad on Craig's List and I hired him because I hate cleaning up after my dogs. I have two dogs and they are my babies, but I hate cleaning up after them," said Shannon Peterson, Poop-Be-Gone's first client.

Former pet store owner, Jeff Frost says the recession has been brutal for him. Without any money to start up a new business and no jobs out there to speak of, he decided to go into business for himself. He says the idea actually started as a joke.

"I said, well I could go start picking up dog poop. There's not a lot of people in town that do that," said Frost.

Now he has ten permanent clients under his belt, and is nearly making a living doing a job most people cringe about.

"I don't mind it. I do like it in this type of weather. 70 degrees, perfect outside. You're not stuck in an office environment."

For eight dollars per dog, per week, Frost will get rid off the mess in your yard, and even spray a sanitizer over it so there won't be any smelly reminders.

Frost says he hopes to grow his business enough to be able to hire several employees, increasing his workload and helping bring more jobs to our area.

"I've kind of helped him get the word out. He gives me fliers and I hand them out to all the neighbors, so it's really nice," said Peterson.

For now, life may be a little stinky for Frost, but he says anything is better than being unemployed.

"When you're working, you feel better about yourself. It's great to get up every morning, even though it's poop patrol. I'm still doing a job. So I'm excited about it."

Frost says he specializes in dogs, but he'll also pick up horse waste for a slightly higher price.
