RENO, Nev. (AP) - A machine that converts industrial heat into electricity has drawn several national and local awards for the Carson City company.
ElectraTherm Inc. began distributing the 5-foot-by-5-foot device last month.
ElectraTherm President Steve Olson says that for many businesses, the $125,000 machine pays for itself in about three years by producing extra electricity.
Last month, Nevada's Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology gave ElectraTherm a "Green Company of the Year" award.
Among ElectraTherm's first customers is the Florida Canyon Mine north of Lovelock, where two Green Machines were deployed last month.
