CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Robin Reedy, chief of state for Gov. Jim Gibbons, will host a fundraiser this weekend for her boss in Douglas County.

Reedy says she organized the event on her own time and at her own expense.

It will be held Sunday evening at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden. Tickets are $125 per person, $200 per couple or $300 for a corporate table.

Reedy says she's always been active in Republican Party politics and doesn't see any conflict in hosting an event for her boss, who is up for re-election next year.

But political analyst Fred Lokken says such an arrangement can be awkward.

Those who don't attend may fear being denied access to the administration, while those who do may fear being perceived as trying to buy influence.
