A driver who lost control of his car Wednesday Morning in North Reno left a trail of destruction behind him.

The man was traveling quickly on Valley Road near Industrial when he struck a fire hydrant, ripping the front end off. His car then crashed through a fence, bounced off a telephone pole, and unbelievably flew through another fence.

The car landed in an embankment about 200 yards up-hill from the fire hydrant. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

Authorities are still investigating the accident and they will determine if was alcohol was a factor.
