Victim ID'd in Deadly 395 Shooting

RENO, NV - Reno police have released the name of the woman killed along Highway 395 Monday, saying her family has been properly notified.

Around 2:35AM Monday, the Nevada Highway Patrol and Reno Police Department responded to a report of an accident and shooting.

Police say 29-year-old Jeffrey Rodriguez is charged with shooting his wife, 32-year-old Korinda Rodriguez. Police found her with a gunshot wound on the road. Jeffrey Rodriguez is charged with open murder, three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and two counts of ex-felon posession of a firearm.

Due to the nature of the crime and the extent of the scene the freeway was closed in both directions for several hours between Stead and Lemmon Valley.
