To Anonymous below: What a pathetic/insensitive comment! It does not matter that 2 years have passed- justice is a SLOW (unfortunately for victims) process. It is absolutely IGNORANT to say that this 'needs to be dropped.' You cannot blame a 15 yr for rape! By the way, all those involved should have thought about their 'lives' when they chose to violate this young girl. So, now we wait for Justice and I hope that these sex offenders (yes, that is what they are) do time behind bars. Let me tell you, sex offenders are on the bottom of the pecking order in prisons! Keep these people away from my children- so glad for Megan's law.
my out look on this is that it just needs to be dropped! more than a year has passed and it is just now being fully delt with! if this is such a big deal then it should have been done a long time ago! all of the kids that were at the party have lives too, everyone knows that something wrong did happen.. but it takes two to tango. im not saying no one should be punished.. but she needs to get a consiquence for her action too! if she was knocked out i would understand... but she was still concious
Whitney, How dare you, for one moment, begin to blame the victim. What a disgusting approach and dishonorable notion. At any party, people are in and out and certainly not accurate witnesses to hidden crimes like sexual assault. Although I find it hard to believe you, as the apparent "consumption police",accurately monitored her drinks at the party, drinking, clothing, etc. matters not when it comes to rape. Not to mention, she was 15! Anyone choosing to have even consentual sex with anyone under 16 in this state (even sober), is breaking the law. Furthermore, the logical and natural consequence for drinking (even underage) is a hangover, not victimization. It is a sad, sad day when anyone can look at a 15 year old and blame her for her own victimization. I hope time is kind to you and that you will be humbled before your hateful, uneducated words hurt someone you love.
Whitney - if YOU were at the party, then explain why the 15 year-old girl was nearly unconscious and vomiting on the lawn after just a half a beer?
Just goes to show that kids might want to listen to their parents when they tell them there are consequences to their actions... so many teens think their parents know nothing when they tell them that... now look this kid will have this haunt him the rest of his life... think before you act!!!
Whitney.. two people being arrested and one pleading guilty says it all. You must be the typical head in the sand Fallonite who lies to protect your own. Law enforcement seems to think she was raped. With possible charges pending on others. Open your eyes. I would hate to see you be the next victim.
i think that if you werent at the party you dont have a place to say anything! most of the people saw what happened that night! and she did not get raped! or taken advantage of! she had a half of a beer and no matter who you are or how low your tollerance is.one beer goes out of your system in an hour. so stop making this something it's not! she is in the worng just as much as the boys.
80% of kids actions are because of how their parents raised them. His father "the Judge" is just as guilty as him. Don't think I will be voting for him next election.
WE CAN RAISE OUR CHILDREN WITH MORALS AND STANDARDS BUT I KNOW THE LISTERS AND I KNOW THAT THEY DID JUST THAT! WE CAN TEACH OUR CHILDREN RIGHT FROM WRONG AND HOW THEY TURN OUT IS UP TO THEM. I DONT BELEIVE THE PARENTS SHOULD BE BLAMED FOR THE ACTIONS OF THEIR ADULT CHILDREN. I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LISTERS AND THE REST OF THE FAMILIES INVOLVED. ALOT OF TIMES NOW DAYS KIDS GET PEER PRESSURE AND DONT KMOW HOW TO HANDLE IT. I DONT AGREE WITH WHAT ANY OF THEM DID AND I THINK THEY SHOULD ALL PAY FOR RUINING THAT LITTLE GIRLS LIFE. BUT DONT BLAME IT ON THE PARENTS ALOT OF THEM DONT EVEN LIVE WITH ONE OF THE PARENTS.
Peel is definitely out of line here.. she should do some time in jail, but probably wont..As for young lister and his buds, "RAPE IS SERIOUS"!! I hope they teach them a good lesson.. Alittle time in Carson might get their attention!!
Don't forget the 18 year old son of the Judge - piece of garbage - it is totally wrong and I feel for his parents but he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
What a pig! Just because your father is a judge does not mean that you are above the law! What a horrible thing for your parents to learn about their son.
Here in Reno (Galena High) we have the same problem with a "Want to Be MOM" giving alcohol to her kids and there friends...Her kids should be taken from her!!!!! She is a SICK Person...
Gross misdemeanor!! Her own kids should be removed from her care, be barred from coaching/teaching ever again, tied to a post and horse whipped. Lister? I don't have to note, you know what should be done to him or any other involved whether a minor or not.
