RENO - The family of Bryan Coursey, 20, says the young man was an innocent bystander who was fatally shot in Reno June 15th.

Bobbi Vesco, Coursey's sister, says her brother was in the parking lot of Diamond Dolls on Spokane, getting ready to leave. The family says two groups of men had gotten into a fight at the strip club. Although Bryan's family says Bryan wasn't involved in the fight, he was the one who was struck by a bullet.

"He was kind, he was caring he cared about people he was so proud he was so proud of his family he loved us," Vesco said.

Vesco says Bryan had a smile that lit up a room. She says her brother thought about being a firefighter and joining the Navy. He had intended to teach her son to play basketball some day. Vesco says Bryan was a gifted athlete who played basketball at North Valleys High School.

Bryan's family says the young man was shot in the head above his right eyebrow, and he survived.

"He lived for 17 days with a bullet in his head he survived that bullet he was able to tell us what happened to him," Vesco said.

Bryan's family says he was paralyzed on one side of his body, and he said he was in pain before passing away.

The family is now preparing to distribute flyers seeking information on the crime. Police have issued arrest warrants for two men still at-large. 33-year-old Arnulfo Carrillo and 24-year-old Cesar Garcia are wanted for conspiracy to commit murder. Bryan's family says detectives believe the men may have fled to Mexico, and could be near San Diego, CA.

Anyone who can help track down these suspects is asked to call Secret Witness at 322-4900. A $2,500 reward is offered in this case.
