Reno, NV, (KOLO) The Lyon County Sheriff's Office has a new vehicle to fight crime.
LCSO acquired a Mine Resistant Ambush Proof vehicle which is a tool for some of the toughest situations law enforcement may encounter.
The vehicle can be used in a situation involving a gunman or other dangerous situations.
The money for the vehicle was obtained through narcotics seizures in Lyon County and the vehicle was shipped from Texas at no cost to the county.
The passenger compartment is bulletproof and designed to withstand a mine blast.
The vehicle can hold up to ten people and is scheduled to debut at the Lyon County Fair and Rodeo in August
