2011 Grand Finale Americana Auction Draws National Attention

The 2011 Grand Finale Americana Auction at the Atlantis Resort and Casino has items that are attracting nationwide attention.

The two day auction is being hosted by Holabird-Kagin Americana. Fred Holabird says the items at the auction are extremely rare.

One item includes an original ink and pen sketch done by Walt Disney at the start of his career. Collectors say this type of drawing is extremely rare. It's estimated the drawing will sell for $50,000. But, that is subject to change.

Other items are estimated to sell for $200,000. Holabird says auctions like this one are a great way for people to connect with the past.

You can access the auction online, you can also visit the auction in person. It's in the Paradise Ballroom, rooms C and D.
