RENO, NV - Reno police are warning parents to keep track of their kids' interactions on social media in the wake of a man being accused of sexual assault with a 12-year-old.
19-year-old Dylan Ruiz was arrested after the girl's parents caught her sneaking out of the house.
Police tell KOLO 8 News Now the two had met at a party, then established a relationship on Facebook. At least once after that, police believe the two met and had sex.
Since the girl is a minor and Ruiz is of age, the charges are sexual assault with a child and child luring. Bail was set at $20,500 and Ruiz was released from the Washoe County Jail Wednesday.
