CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - The former treasurer of Carson City Pop
Warner has been sentenced to three years probation and ordered to
pay $3,600 for embezzling money from the youth football league more
than a year ago.

Tamerlee Davidson, 42, received a suspended prison sentence of 12 to 32 months after pleading guilty to a felony charge of attempted theft.

Members of the Pop Warner board of directors contacted Carson City police in June 2006 when they found that Davidson's records failed to account for $8,000 to $10,000 from the 2005 football season, police records show.

The records indicated Davidson only made a single $450 deposit while serving as treasurer from July 2005 to January 2006. The police report said more than $21,000 had been raised from a car wash, opening-day fundraiser, apparel sales and concessions.
