Someone in the City of Sparks streets department has some explaining to do, or at least they could use a spelling lesson.

A KOLO viewer brought this ironic misspelling to our attention.

Written on the street in front of the pick-up/drop-off area at Greenbrae Elementary School on O Street is the word "SCOOL." The H is obviously missing.

KOLO 8 contacted a city officials. He chalked it up to an honest, though embarrassing mistake. The city plans on fixing this spelling error as soon as possible.

Well its certainly COOL!.Not often do we get something to make us smile. Its a shame that it has to be corrected, but I guess so.I hope that the person involved does'nt get too much grief over it.Probably a bit embarrased though & red faced.

We should enforce and 'concentrate' on the English language instead of trying to accomodate and allow other languages to be 'dominate', then maybe we would not become confused with 'spelling'.
