Reno, NV – “Shortly after take-off, you hear a big “BOOM,” and the first thing I did was stick my fingers in my ears because it was such a loud whistling sound,” describes Willie Wright.
The Sacramento native travels often to install solar panels around the country, but on Friday he was looking forward to heading home and spending time with his family. About 18-minutes into the flight, a five foot long hole opened up in the ceiling.
Wright says, “It actually sounded like someone had bombed the plane and sucked all the air out of the plane.” He shared a few photos he managed to take during the ordeal with KOLO 8 News Now.
Wright says he’s grateful for the crew and the pilot who remained composed during the ordeal.
